Is Garlic Bread Healthy?

Garlic bread is basically garlic-flavoured bread. These can be eaten as a side dish and it is even served with pasta and at times with soups.
One can use any bread for making garlic bread, as there is no such special requirement for the same. Regular or Italian bread, sourdough, Panini bread, baguette, and a few others are used to make this dish. To make this dish the bread can be sliced from a bread loaf or pulled into large chunks. Classic garlic bread is a combination of minced/finely chopped garlic, olive oil, and a little salt, these are prepared and applied to the bread. There are various other methods of doing it.
- You can use the above combination and bake it till it soaks in the flavour of garlic and olive oil
- A mixture of olive oil, garlic, and chopped parsley is made and applied to the bread
- To the above mix – lots of grated cheese can be added for extra flavor
There are many ways for making garlic bread and if you don’t have an oven, you can simply use a pan to cook it.
Bread is usually made out of refined flour, which is processed, unhealthy, and high in carbs. Though, being high on carbs makes it an excellent source of energy. But, as this would affect the sugar levels, it is not advisable for people having diabetes or weight issues.
To resolve the whole thing, people can opt for bread that is made from 100% whole grain, this would add an extra flavor and earthiness to the whole dish.
